Have an eye for decoration? Help us welcome our riders! Support our setup by helping set up tables and linens, hanging banners and signage, and decorating key areas.

Help us set up / break down the rider packet pick up event area, organize supplies, and pass out participant packets, t-shirts, goodie bags, and provide information alongside National MS Society staff.

Help us welcome our riders and get them on their way. You'll set up and break down the packet pick up event area in Levi's Plaza, organize supplies, pass out participant packets, t-shirts, goodie bags, provide information and assist National MS Society staff as needed.

Help us set up and organize our food service area, hand out food to participants, help clean up the area and put away supplies.

You'll set up bike racks, check bikes in/out of secured areas, and ensure our cyclists are welcomed and made to feel like the rockstars they are.

Using personal photography equipment, capture event including team photos, start & finish line photos, route photos, & festival area photos.

Volunteer photographers are expected to share full rights to digital media with the MS Society in-kind. Student photographers welcomed.

Note: Photography will take place during the early / mid morning hours in low-light conditions.

You will be unloading bikes and gear from bike shuttles. Please note lifting is required. Extreme care must be taken with bicycles. 

The Support & Gear (SAG) Volunteers drive in vehicles on route to provide support, transport riders back to start when needed, communicate incidents with staff, and more.

*SAG Drivers are required to complete and pass a Motor Vehicle Report Check and Background Check by September 1, 2026 to serve in this role.

Ride along with participants and provide support along the route to troubleshoot problems and ensure rider safety. When needed, they respond to emergencies and traffic situations.

Responsibilities/ Requirements may Include some or all of the following:

*All Motorcycle Marshals are required to wear a helmet and may not participate while towing a trailer

*Encouraged to be active amateur radio operators with VHF/UHF HAM radio capability on the motorcycle and a cellular phone for backup communications.

*Motorcycle Marshals must have a valid motorcycle driver's license and proof of insurance covering the motorcycle to be ridden in Bike MS. Both must be sent to the MS Society in advance of your shift.

*HAM license and the ability to operate from your motorcycle are encouraged.

Bike Mechanics provide technical, mechanical, and repair service support on route and at various sites during Bike MS.

Amateur radio operators are assigned to several different groups or stationed at different locations along the route. This is a one- or two-day commitment, depending on your location.

General Duties.

Will support Bike staff wherever needed. Times and shifts may vary.

Help us welcome and cheer on our riders as they pass by Rest Stop #2 near Stinson Beach.

You'll unload and load basic rest stop supplies from our delivery truck, set up/take down the stop supplies, pass out provided food and beverages, cheer on and flag cyclists into rest stop, provide excellent customer service. 

Groups, Costumes, Teams, and fun silliness are all welcome! First Aid Qualified volunteers are particularly welcome, too.

Help us welcome and cheer on our riders as they pass by Rest Stop #3 at Sacred Heart Church in Olema! You'll unload and load basic rest stop supplies from our delivery truck, set up/take down the stop supplies, pass out provided food and beverages, cheer on and flag cyclists into rest stop, provide excellent customer service. This stop is where riders can stop and eat a lunch provided for them.

Groups, Costumes, Teams, and fun silliness are all welcome! First Aid Qualified volunteers are particularly welcome, too.

Activities include: setting up/taking down the site, running hydration/fruit stations, serving food and beverages to participants, providing excellent customer service. (Occasional lifting may be required)

Join us at our finish line to cheer on participants using noise makers!  hand out medals/mementos and enthusiastically welcome back riders who have just completed a tough ride. Bringing your own signs, costumes, and creativity is encouraged!

Provide massages to participants, must be certified
