Volunteers assisting in the Food and Beverage Team will help with the following tasks:  Setting up and organizing food service area, handing out food to participants, cleaning up area and putting away supplies.  *Basic and safe food preparation and handling is required and volunteers will be provided handwashing station/gloves, etc. 

Must be CPR/First Aid certified (volunteer does not need to be a medical professional). You will administer basic first aid when needed. 

ASL Interpreter Description: Assist Deaf/Hard of Hearing participants attending Walk MS. May be asked to support in Registration area and/or during event Opening Ceremony.

Standing at the finish line to cheer on participants, using noise makers, handing out medals/mementos, often these volunteers are asked to bring encouraging signs(either pre-prepared or from home) or cheering swag (available at volunteer tent).

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with filling attendees water bottles
Ensure the station is stocked with water & ice throughout the event
Communicate with staff and other key volunteers if ice & water need replenishing.

Provide general event support and be available to assist wherever needed.

Help support MS Society staff check in volunteers, then perform volunteer journalist rule by interviewing volunteers on their experience and collecting photos of volunteers volunteering!

Event photographers will be there to capture the action! Photographers bring their own photography equipment and will be provided shot lists.

Motorcycle Marshals provide motorcycle escort support along the route to troubleshoot problems and ensure rider safety. When needed, they respond to emergencies and traffic situations. Responsibilities may include the following: Starting the route on Days 1 and 2; monitoring the flow of riders; communicating with Tour officials via the command center or net control; and handling minor incidents. Like bicycle riders, all motorcycle marshals are required to wear a helmet. Current policy does not allow trikes or other motorcycle variations with more than two wheels, sidecars, or trailers towed behind the motorcycle.

*Motorcycle Marshals must have a valid motorcycle license and proof of insurance covering the motorcycle to be ridden in Bike MS.

Welcome our VIP participants to their dedicated area, answer questions, set-up and maintain VIP food area, provide excellent customer service. Great opportunity for those pursuing careers in the hospitality or non-profit field.
