Unloading and distributing supplies, setting up tents, tables, and chairs, hanging banners and signage, decorating tents and tables (heavy lifting required ≤50lbs)

Medical Support: First Aid Volunteers consists of certified medical professionals (EMT, EMS, RN, etc.) who administer First-Aid at support locations. The support locations include rest stops, lunch stop, start/finish line, and along the route. *This volunteer position is not a bike-riding position.

Volunteer Check-In Assistant: Assisting with Checking in volunteers with staff, ensuring paperwork is turned in, and volunteers receive a t-shirt and instructions for their volunteer shift.

Food & Beverage Team: Setting up and organizing food service area, handing out food to participants, cleaning up area, and putting away supplies.

Rider Registration & Information Area: Provide riders with their bib, bike and helmet stickers, and other pertinent event supplies (VIP credentials, wristbands, etc.) if they have not received them at a pre-event packet pickup. Riders may visit the Registration area of this tent for same-day ride registration.

Provides event-specific information, serves as customer service and lost and found. Once Packet Pickup is closed, this area turns into the Medals & T-Shirt Distribution Tent.

Allenwood Gazebo Rest Stop Crew: Setting up/taking down the site, running hydration/fruit stations, serving food and beverages to participants, providing excellent customer service. (Occasional lifting may be required). 

Each Rest Stop Team will have a LEAD assigned before the event. The Lead will communicate with the VE Lead and/or EP throughout the event and if anything is needed at the rest stop.  They will receive and distribute lunches for volunteers at their stop and stay until breakdown is complete.

Photographers: Using personal photography equipment, capture event including team photos, start & finish line photos, route photos, & festival area photos. Volunteer Photographers are expected to share full rights to digital media with the MS Society in-kind.  Photographers are supplied an approved shot list. Professional skills not mandatory.

SAG Driver Team: Shuttle participants along the route. Proof of current driver's license and automobile insurance required. Background check required. You will be driving a 16 foot truck.

Brielle Elementary School Rest Stop Crew:  Setting up/taking down the site, running hydration/fruit stations, serving food and beverages to participants, providing excellent customer service. (Occasional lifting may be required). 

This rest stop is the FIRST stop for all 25, 50, and 75 mile riders!

Each Rest Stop Team will have a LEAD assigned before the event. The Lead will communicate with the VE Lead and/or EP throughout the event and if anything is needed at the rest stop.  They will receive and distribute lunches for volunteers at their stop and stay until breakdown is complete.

Ride Marshals: Ride along with participants and provide support along the route to troubleshoot problems and ensure rider safety. When needed, they respond to emergencies and traffic situations.

Jump Team: Helping staff with various tasks throughout the event, setting up/tearing down event site, communicating with other volunteers, and filling in for others on an "as needs" basis (LIGHT lifting may be required)

Island Beach State Park Rest Stop Crew: Setting up/taking down the site, running hydration/fruit stations, serving food and beverages to participants, providing excellent customer service. (Occasional lifting may be required).

Spirit Team: Standing at the finish line to cheer on participants, using noise makers, and bring encouraging signs or cheering swag from home! Come and show these amazing participants how much we appreciate them!  Great for big groups.

Mission Area: Set up/break down area with appropriate supplies, managing the area during the event which may include passing out bandanas, Society print materials, speaking to constituents about MS Society. Usually staffed with at least one Staff member.

Medals Team & T-Shirt Distribution: Join us and help congratulate bikers as they cross finish line and hand out the medals and distribute T-shirts.  Also, will be asked to set up medals table and refill it as needed.  Fun job and can be combined with the Spirit Team!
