Bike MS: Ride the Rhode on June 13, 2026, at University of Rhode Island

Spirit Team (SUNDAY):  Standing at the finish line to cheer on participants, using noise makers, handing out medals/mementos, often these volunteers are asked to bring encouraging signs or cheering swag from home to the event.

We are looking for groups, clubs, cheerleading teams, marching bands, and individuals who want to come and support the cyclists.

Volunteer Check-in: Check in volunteers, ensuring paperwork is turned in and volunteers receive a t-shirt, and instructions for their volunteer shift.

SATURDAY Packet Pick-Up: Assist by providing our riders with the information they need to have a smooth ride.

ON ROUTE Photographers: Using personal photography equipment, capture event including team photos, start & finish line photos, route photos, & festival area photos. Volunteer Photographers are expected to share full rights to digital media with the MS Society in-kind.  Photographers are supplied an approved shot list.

Location and Time TBD

Setting up/taking down the site, running hydration/fruit stations, serving food and beverages to participants, providing excellent customer service. (Occasional lifting may be required). 

Each Rest Stop Team will have a LEAD assigned before the event. The Lead will communicate with the VE Lead and/or EP throughout the event and if anything is needed at the rest stop.  They will receive and distribute lunches for volunteers at their stop and stay until breakdown is complete.

T-Shirt Distribution: Organizing supplies and shirts by size and type, handing out shirts to qualifying participants, keeping area tidy, and providing excellent customer service.

Medal Distribution Team: Help set up Medals on table and hand them out as riders return.

FRIDAY (JUNE 12th) Packet Pick UP: Assist with Pre-Event activities by providing our riders with the information they need to have a smooth ride on June 13th! Volunteers are welcome to sign up to volunteer on Friday and Saturday!
