Working with Volunteer Lead - checking in volunteers, ensuring paperwork is turned in and volunteers receive a t-shirt and instructions for their volunteer shift.  Should be comfortable managing Volunteer Tent if Lead should need to leave or on a break.

Welcoming participants, looking-up participant name, confirming information, answering questions,  and taking fundraising donations.  (Background check required for volunteers handling donations)

First Aid Volunteers are CPR/First Aid certified individuals and do not have to be licensed medical professionals (EMT, EMS, RN, etc.) but they can be, when available. They administer First-Aid to event participants and call in/report any more serious injuries.  The support locations can include start/finish, and along the route.

Setting up/taking down the food and beverage area, set out water and other beverages, serve coffee where applicable (if not self-serve) lay out snacks. Keep area clean.

(Previously called "Mission Area / MS Connections")

Setting up/breaking down area with appropriate supplies, managing the area during the event which may include passing out bandanas, Society print materials, speaking to constituents about MS Society. Taking inventory post event of diagnosis date stickers and I walk with MS bandanas. Usually staffed with at least one Staff member.

Setting up/taking down Complete the Circle interactive graphic, set up and manage circle stickers and offer instruction to participants on how to fill out and apply circle stickers to graphic. Take inventory post event of Circle of Support Stickers

Setting up/taking down Circles of Support tent, set up and manage circle fans and offer instruction to participants on what they represent and how to use during the Program. Take inventory post event of circle fans.

Roam the site with baskets of Circle of Support circle fans, passing out to all participants and explaining what they are and how to use during the Program.  Best recruits for this role are outgoing and love talking with participants.

Provides high-level of customer service and registration services for Top Fundraisers,   Includes setting up/breaking down TFA Check-in,  providing check in and registration services, answer questions.

The Event Greeters are one of the first people participants interact with on event day. Volunteers should be a friendly face, can pick up procedures quickly (training is performed on site) and act quickly and efficiently. This area assists participants in where to go on site, how to complete information for turning in donations and QR code support/direction. 

Assisting photographers with set up, gathering participants, using props or signs, staging photos, reminding participants to use appropriate tags for social media, etc.

The Stage Manager must be organized and able to communicate effectively with the event Host, Honoree and their Circle of Support representatives, and the A/V Team. Previous experience in event management is preferred. This role could also be a staff member or contracted individual. See complete job description for scope of work.

Using personal photography equipment (can be a cell phone), capture event including team photos, start & finish line photos, sponsors,  route photos, & festival area photos. Volunteer Photographers are expected to share full rights to digital media with the MS Society in-kind within 2 weeks of the event taking place.  Does not need to be a professional photographer. Shot lists will be shared.

Setting up/taking down the food and beverage area. Provide an elevated food and beverage experience to TFs,  set out water and other beverages, serve coffee ( if not self-serve) lay out snacks. Keep area clean.

Helping staff with various tasks throughout the event, setting up/tearing down event site, communicating with other volunteers, emptying trash and recycles bins and generally keeping area clean and safe filling in for others on an "as needs" basis (lifting may be required). Might also need to service (trash and/or replenish water) in Top Fundraiser Area if they do not have their own floaters.

Directing participants at key locations on the route to ensure the walk route is followed correctly and safely.

Join us in ensuring every walker's journey is smooth and supported at Walk MS! We are looking for dedicated SAG (Support and Gear) volunteers to drive along the route, keeping a watchful eye for participants who may need assistance. Your role is crucial in providing aid to walkers and ensuring their safe transportation back to the start line.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Drive a golf Cart
- Patrol designated areas of the route in a golf cart or your own vehicle.
- Be vigilant for walkers who may require assistance or need a ride back to the start line.
- Communicate effectively with event organizers and other volunteers to coordinate support efforts.

**Qualifications:**

- **Active Drivers License, safety training, and background check required**

- Compassion and a willingness to assist participants in need.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with event staff and fellow volunteers.

Standing at the finish line to cheer on participants, using noise makers, handing out medals/mementos, often these volunteers are asked to bring encouraging signs(either pre-prepared or from home) or cheering swag (available at volunteer tent)

Not required but spirit team generally cheers on participants at start, then helps with teardown/other misc. tasks while walkers are out, then return to finish line to cheer on participants again. 

Cleaning up the event site, taking down decorations, signage and banners, breaking down tents, tables, and chairs, organizing and loading supplies on trucks (heavy lifting required ≤50lbs)
