Roles in the brand new event experience (we launched here last year) include:
- The Center: Setting up/breaking down area with appropriate supplies, managing the area during the event which may include passing out bandanas, Society print materials, speaking to constituents about MS Society. Taking inventory post event of diagnosis date stickers and I walk with MS bandanas.
- Complete the Circle: Setting up/taking down Complete the Circle interactive graphic, set up and manage circle stickers and offer instruction to participants on how to fill out and apply circle stickers to graphic. Take inventory post event of Circle of Support Stickers
- Why I Walk: New area that will feature participant walking bibs for personalization. Used to be called "I Walk for" bibs and was often a part of Registration. Volunteers in the area will need to spot check supplies.
- Circles of Support:
- TENT: Setting up/taking down Circles of Support tent, set up and manage circle fans and offer instruction to participants on what they represent and how to use during the Program. Take inventory post event of circle fans.
- ROAMER: Roam the site with baskets of Circle of Support circle fans, passing out to all participants and explaining what they are and how to use during the Program. Best recruits for this role are outgoing and love talking with participants.
