Assist MS Society Staff with the loading of Packet Pick Up supplies onto Supply Truck. (heavy lifting required ≤50lbs)

Volunteers ensure riders have a fun experience by greeting, directing and distributing! Greet riders; direct/help complete Rider Acknowledgement Form; direct to appropriate registration lines; distribute goody bags, t-shirts and more!

All volunteers in this role will require a background check in order to be able to train and be a part of registration/check-in as well as accept donations. You will be placed in one of the following areas: Heads or Tails, Wine Pull, Registration, Appeal Spotter, Recorder or another area that requires a need.

Deliver all rest stop supplies, be available to run extra supplies to stops as needed (primarily ice), pick up rest stop supplies after each rest stop closes. Sound like a good fit? This role is ideal for two people – invite a friend to sign up with you!

NET Control

*All Motorcycle Marshals are required to wear a helmet and may not participate while towing a trailer

*Encouraged to be active amateur radio operators with VHF/UHF HAM radio capability on the motorcycle and a cellular phone for backup communications.

*Motorcycle Marshals must have a valid motorcycle driver's license and proof of insurance covering the motorcycle to be ridden in Bike MS. Both must be sent to the MS Society in advance of your shift.

*HAM license and the ability to operate from your motorcycle are encouraged.

The Support & Gear (SAG) Volunteers drive in vehicles (provided by the society) on route to provide support, transport riders back to start when needed, communicate incidents with staff, and more.

*SAG Drivers are required to complete and pass a Motor Vehicle Report Check and Background Check by September 1, 2023 to serve in this role.

Bike Mechanics provide technical, mechanical, and repair service support on route and at various sites during Bike MS.

Activities Include: Setting up/taking down the rest stop site, serving food and beverages to participants, providing excellent customer service.  Providing encouragement to cyclists as they arrive and leave the rest stop. (Occasional lifting may be required)

Each rest stop will also have a first Aid/Medical volunteer, and a HAM radio operator. 

On-lining training/briefing provided to all rest stop volunteers - Live and/or pre-recorded

Ride along with participants and provide support along the route to troubleshoot problems and ensure rider safety. When needed, they respond to emergencies and traffic situations. 

Note: Ride Marshals have a reduced fundraising minimum of $250.

Photographers retain rights to photos but are expected to share full rights to digital media with the MS Society in-kind. 

Photographer Welcome Kit will be provided, including more information about the types of photos, and uploading instructions.
