SET-UP/TEAR-DOWN: Unloading and distributing supplies, setting up tents, tables, and chairs,  hanging banners and signage, decorating tents and tables. Cleaning up the event site, taking down decorations, signage and banners, breaking down tents, tables, and chairs, organizing and loading  supplies (heavy lifting required ≤50lbs)

Setting up/tearing down packet pick up event area, organizing supplies, passing out participant packets, t-shirts, goodie bags, and other information, providing excellent customer service, assisting Society staff as needed. 

Ride Marshals are registered cyclists who act as both Good-Will and Safety Ambassadors for Bike MS. Ride Marshal applicants must be 18 years of age, be passionate and knowledgeable about safe cycling, and be willing to work with fellow cyclists to promote safe cycling. Ride Marshals must have completed at least two Bike MS events within five years.

Registration: Welcoming participants, looking-up participant name, confirming information and giving numbered packet to participant(s), taking fundraising donations and more. Background check required for volunteers handling donations. Must be 18 or older.

Amateur radio operators play a critical role in event communications by being stationed at key locations along the route or assigned to specific support teams. Volunteers help ensure safety and coordination throughout the event.

Amateur radio operators play a critical role in event communications - Roaming HAM's will be assigned to specific sections of the course. Volunteers help ensure safety and coordination throughout the event.

Shuttle participants along the route. Proof of current driver's license and automobile insurance required. Background check required. Indicate if HAM Radio operator.

Photographers: Using personal photography equipment, capture event including team photos, start & finish line photos, route photos, & festival area photos. Volunteer Photographers are expected to share full rights to digital media with the MS Society in-kind.

Food Service & Hydration: Setting up and organizing food service area, handing out food to participants, cleaning up area and putting away supplies. Setting up/taking down hydration area. Welcoming and encouraging/congratulating participants, mixing sports drinks, serving beverages,  icing down beverages and replenishing supplies as needed, keeping hydration and food area clean. 

Spirit Team: Standing at the finish line to cheer on participants, using noise makers, handing out medals/mementos. Volunteers are welcome to dress up, bring signs, flags etc.
