As a set-up volunteer, you will be assisting with the unloading of items, hanging banners, setting tables and chairs, etc. Please note that some lifting will be required.

Setting up/tearing down packet pick up event area, organizing supplies, passing out participant packets, t-shirts, goodie bags, and other information, providing excellent customer service, assisting Society staff as needed.

Volunteers will welcome and assist riders as they prepare to board the shuttle. Responsibilities include greeting riders, directing them as needed, and helping load luggage onto a truck. 

Please note - some lifting will be required.

Setting up bike racks, checking that bikes leaving match bib number of rider, ensuring cyclists receive great customer service.

You will be responsible for taking picture of cyclists out on the bike route as well as photos of the rest stops. You must be a skilled photographer and able to share all file photos post event. This position is for on-route which means you must be comfortable driving/cycling the route and safely stopping to take photos.

*Report to lunch stop @ Concordia Elementary School to receive materials including a cooler with drinks and umbrellas for shade (if needed)

Standing at the finish line to cheer on participants, using noise makers, handing out medals/mementos, often these volunteers are asked to bring encouraging signs or cheering swag from home to the event. May be asked to help with other tasks during downtime but not required.

This may include disseminating Society print materials and speaking to constituents about the MS Society. This area may include community focused area or mission focused areas like "I Ride For" bibs. This is a seated opportunity!

The lunch greeter welcomes guests and keeps the line in an orderly fashion. Assures everyone has tickets and points people to QR code if they need to purchase a ticket.

Shift 1 will be mostly unloading/organizing the luggage (labor intensive) and shift 2 will primarily be monitoring and helping riders find their luggage.

The Shuttle check-in volunteer uses the provided list of shuttle riders to assure everyone is on board & checked in & notifies staff of anyone not on board that should be.

You will be unloading bikes from the shuttles. Please note lifting is required. This will be for riders taking the shuttle back from the finish line in San Diego so the event site will be torn down. You will be working with a society Staff or Board member who will bring drinks/snacks and other volunteers.
