Setting up bike racks, checking bikes in/out of secure area, ensuring cyclists receive great customer service

Setting up/tearing down packet pick up event area, organizing supplies, passing out participant packets, t-shirts, goodie bags, and other information, collecting donations, providing excellent customer service, assisting Society staff as needed.

Assists on site volunteer engagement staff or lead volunteer with checking in volunteers, ensuring all paperwork is turned in and that volunteers receive a t-shirt and instructions for their volunteer shift. 

Setting up and organizing food service area (in partnership with catering where applicable), handing out food to participants, cleaning up area and putting away supplies. Most items are single serve. Preparing and assisting riders at the hydration station. General sanitation protocols are in place (i.e., hand sanitizer, gloves, etc.)

Helping staff with various tasks throughout the event, setting up/tearing down event site,
communicating with other volunteers, filling in for others on an "as needed" basis (lifting may be required)

Welcoming participants, ensuring luggage is properly tagged, checking participants' luggage in/out of secured area, lifting, and moving duffle bags, tents, coolers, and luggage cases, providing excellent customer service. (Lifting required ≤ 20 lbs.)

Using personal photography equipment, capture event including team photos, start & finish line
photos, route photos, & festival area photos. Photographers are expected to share full rights to digital media with the MS Society in-kind within 2 weeks of the event.

Saturday: volunteer will begin in Sundance Square then jump ahead of riders to various rest stops/lunch stop/finish line in Glen Rose.

Shifts can be customized based on availability

Lead volunteer check-in, ensuring volunteers are checked in upon arrival and that the proper paperwork is on file or completed. Provide directions to and instructions for specific volunteer positions. Ensure all paperwork is returned to staff at end of event.

Assist lead volunteer/staff with checking in volunteers, ensuring paperwork is turned in (if not registered online). Provide directions to and instructions for their specific volunteer position. 

Assist with setting up tables and chairs, decorating tent and tables, hanging banners, etc.

Volunteers will serve in a variety of roles: food service, hydration, spirit team, team area, set up, etc. Actual assignment will be determined upon check-in.

Assist participants with individual and group photos using the provided props. Encourage them to come into the photo area or take props into the nearby VIP tent to take photos. You will not be provided with a camera so participants will need to use their own phones. You are welcome (encouraged even) to take photos on your own device and share them with staff after the event.

Walk the site, gathering any trash, left-over drink containers, etc., for proper disposal.

Volunteers will serve in a variety of roles: food service, hydration, spirit team, team area, set up, etc. Actual assignment will be determined upon check-in.

Stand at the finish line to cheer on participants as they begin/finish the ride. Some items will be provided but volunteers are encouraged to bring noise makers, signs or cheering swag from home to the event. Distribute medals to each rider that crosses the finish line. Make all riders feel celebrated!
