Setting up support and gear for on-route support the day before the ride.

Managing volunteer check in table. Checking in volunteers, ensuring paperwork is turned in and volunteers receive a t-shirt and instructions for their volunteer shift.

Sit at a table outside the cafeteria making sure that participants have their wristband to eat breakfast.

Setting up/tearing down packet pick up event area, organizing supplies, passing out participant packets, t-shirts, goodie bags, and other information, providing excellent customer service, assisting Society staff as needed.

Using personal photography equipment, capture event including starting line teams photos & pre-determined areas via an approved shot list.

Volunteer Photographers are expected to share full rights to digital media with the National MS Society in-kind within 1 week of the event by uploading via instructions.

Helping staff with various tasks throughout the event, setting up/tearing down event site, communicating with other volunteers,  filling in for others on an "as needed" basis (lifting may be required)

First Aid Volunteers consists of certified medical professionals (EMT, EMS, RN, etc) or basic CPR/First Aid Certified who administer First-Aid to event participants. This specific role is on-route throughout the event. 

These volunteers are part of our on-course safety crew that ensures the safety of our participants by patrolling the route and helping cyclists move to the next rest stop or the finish line.

Standing at the finish line to cheer on participants, using noise makers, handing out medals/mementos, often these volunteers are asked to bring encouraging signs or cheering swag from home to the event.
